If your school website has bot protection enabled, Robin may have trouble accessing it. If you'd like to allow Robin through, simply share this page with your website provider to make the necessary adjustments.

How to allow Robin through

Robin identifies itself when scraping school websites by using a User Agent of the form:

Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; Robinbot/1.0; +https://www.robin.education) Chrome/131.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

To whitelist Robin, the simplest way is to let through any User Agents containing the string "Robinbot", though you could also match on the full User Agent. We will update this webpage when the User Agent changes.

What about IP whitelisting?

Robin does have a set of IP addresses it uses to send requests, but these cover broad ranges and change regularly. Because of this, we don’t recommend whitelisting by IP. However, if you’d like the current list of IP ranges, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
