If your school website has some form of bot protection enabled it may mean that Robin is unable to access it. If this is the case, and you would like to enable access for Robin then please provide this page to your website provider.

Robin identifies itself when scraping school websites by using a User Agent of the form:

Mozilla/5.0 AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko; compatible; Robinbot/1.0; +https://www.robin.education) Chrome/131.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

To whitelist Robin, the simplest way is to let through any User Agents containing the string "Robinbot", though you could also match on the full User Agent. We will update this webpage when the User Agent changes.

We do also have a list of IP addresses that Robin will send requests from, but these are broad ranges and are likely to change regularly. Subsequently we do not recommend whitelisting on IP. However, if you'd like a copy of the current IP ranges then please get in touch with us at [email protected]
